Spectacle “The Adventures of the little M.” – was inspired by René Gościnny & Jean Jacques, authors of "Nicolas" cycle as well as by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the creator of The Little Prince. When we look closely at the show, we can also see a distant echo of forgotten childhood of King Matt the First created by Janusz Korczak.
There is a hidden dream in these stories – of going back to childhood, to the safe and joyful world. There is also a yearning for the kind of imagination that we have as children. Its special feature is the absence of limitations, which makes it in everyday objects (eg, pillows), can be hidden extraordinary opportunities and symbols.
Quoting Christine Miłobędzka, we can tell: “Child, folk artist, primitive man – bestow life inanimate objects, natural phenomena, create existences non-existing in reality – not in order to populate the universe, but because it is the only way to explore the world and to express the own thoughts and feelings to the world”.
And this is the spectacle, directed by Renata Jasińska. Its audiences have the unique opportunity to look at reality through the eyes of the little M. and feel the richness of the child's world, in which we can use the potential of fun and unconcern. In this world you can enjoy life, feel the taste of it, because you do not have to be afraid of other people, but give them love and respect.
